Education platform Nebula launches, Console Campus retires

April 8, 2020

Nebula: the start of your brilliant career

Console launched its new digital learning platform, Nebula, on Wednesday 25 March 2020. It is now home to all our Console product courses and webinars, events, partnerships and communities. In short, it’s got everything you need to build an outstanding career in Property Management. This is where all Console Cloud users can get certified and extend their software knowledge.

Console Campus to close down 17 April, 2020

Sadly, however, we will be sunsetting Console Campus as of Friday 17 April. For all campus users with course certificates stored in Console Campus, we urge you to login to Console Campus and download these before Friday 17 April. To download certificates, go to Achievements on the left navigation panel of Console Campus.

The move to Nebula should prove a positive one for the majority of Console users. But while Nebula will be a big step forward in customer experience for all, it is in no way meant to be a duplication of Console Campus. Important Gateway courses will have a home in Nebula, but some others will not. Particularly, non-fundamental Gateway courses, RPOffice and WebChoice courses will not be coming across—at least in the short term.

The effect of COVID-19 on businesses, including ours

The public launch comes a little earlier than the Nebula team had intended. For those who log in for the first time, you will see that some parts of the site are not as published as you’d expect from a platform launch.

Unprecedented volume of new Console Cloud customers

Nebula’s early launch was brought about by a huge spike in demand for Console Cloud. While all cloud-based software enables staff to work remotely, Console Cloud’s long-time focus on collaboration and easier communication through its workflows sets it apart. It’s just plain easier for agencies and property managers to stay across matters and work remotely when using Console cloud.

In March 2020, we migrated more agencies to Console Cloud than any month previously. As April kicks on, demand for Console Cloud only continues to increase. In short, we no longer had time to polish Nebula—it had to be shipped.

Why do it this way?

Well, we believe it’s more important to the large volume of new customers joining us to have access to a premium training and onboarding experience right now. This is something we can deliver with Nebula, but cannot with Console Campus.

Nebula, like Console Cloud, Nebula will continue to get better and better, every single day. Nebula’s team will keep working hard behind the scenes to bring you more and better content. There are blue skies ahead.

Nebula free for a limited time

We have also, therefore, decided to open Nebula to all Console customers. For a limited time only, it will be completely free for you to use. We’d encourage you to check it out! You can browse courses via this link or go directly to the registration page here.

We hope you enjoy using Nebula and get the most out of it while it is free. Use it to hone and extend your professional skills. Use it to grow, even in these strange and uncertain times.

What you should do if you are a Console customer

Here’s how to prepare for the change:

  1. Log into Console Campus and download all certificates. If there are any Gateway courses you would like to take, do so at your earliest convenience.
  2. Visit www.consolenebula.com and sign up for free.
  3. Enrol in and take courses to your heart’s content.
  4. Make sure you check out our live webinars via the events menu!

Of course, if you have any feedback or questions for us, the Nebula team would love to hear them. You can send them a message via this link.

Wasn’t Nebula an industry event you held in 2019?

You’re absolutely right. The success of that event has spurred the creation of the educational platform of the same name. It's a summit and a tradition we intend to continue in 2020 and beyond. Nonetheless, while physical distancing and lock-down restrictions remain in place, the 2020 Nebula summit, billed for July 2020, may yet become a livestream-only event. We will let you know more in the coming weeks.
