Console Australia Pty Limited Privacy Statement
Console values your privacy

Console considers the guarding of your privacy of the utmost importance. This Console Australia Pty Limited Privacy Statement states our commitment to maintaining your privacy and confidential commercial information.

Definitions

Personal Information is information or an opinion (including information or an opinion on a database) whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can be reasonably ascertained from the information or opinion.

Confidential Information means any nonpublic information pertaining to a company’s business. Confidential information includes information disclosed by you, and information developed and learned during the course of or as a result of your relationship with Console.

Reasons for collecting information

Console only collects such information as is necessary to conduct business with you. You will always know what information is being collected, and will have the option to choose how Console utilises your information to communicate with you. We will only collect information by lawful and fair means and not in an intrusive way.

Console and its service providers will only use personal or business information you have supplied in order to:
• provide better customer service to you;
• perform authorised financial transactions with you and your associated financial institutions;
• operate our business as it pertains to you;
• keep you informed about Console products and services and those of relevant business partners; and
• fulfil legal and regulatory obligations.

Aggregated data that contains no information specific to a particular person or business may be shared with our business partners, for example, aggregated statistical trends in a particular industry sector.

How we use your information

Console uses the information you supply in many ways necessary for us to do business together: product promotion, order fulfilment, product registration, customer service and for secure access to Console websites.

Product promotion

Console needs to be able to contact you about product upgrades and new product releases and to inform you of new services relevant to your business, including special offers. You may, however, notify us at any time that you do not want to receive any marketing communications from Console.

Order fulfilment

When ordering products and services, you must provide contact information such as name and delivery address and financial information such as credit card number and expiration date if you are using this payment method. Console uses this information to fulfil your order and bill you. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is also used to get in touch with you to resolve the problem.

Product registration

Console asks you to register each product or service you purchase with relevant personal and business details. Registration ensures that only you - and no unauthorised persons - receive upgrades and special offers.

Customer service

Registration links your Console product and version to your contact details. This allows our customer service representatives to provide you with quality advice relevant to your particular situation when you call Console Customer Service. If software or documentation needs to be emailed or posted to you, the consultant has all the information needed to ensure fast service.

Console web site access

Many useful services are currently available at Console web sites. Your information gives you authorised access so that you can update your personal information, access Console Customer Service online or perform financial transactions.
Our web sites may contain links to other sites belonging to other parties and which are beyond the control of Console. Please note that we cannot vouch or be responsible for the privacy practices of non-Console sites.

Is my data secure?

Console has implemented strong security measures & data security is paramount. All client data is stored in a secure database which is behind no less than three separate firewalls. The data is hosted in such a way the database itself is not accessible to the outside world. The OnlineAgent website retrieves your data & presents it to you through a secure, encrypted channel that cannot be viewed by anyone but yourself.

Where is it stored?

Client data is stored on servers hosted by Console Australia Pty Ltd or a hosting provider which has a SLA with Console Australia Pty Ltd. The hosting provider is bound by a privacy agreement with Console Australia Pty Ltd. All data is stored securely, privately & is accessed using encrypted channels. In case of fire or damage to these servers a redundant backup solution exists to ensure no single point of failure.

Securing electronic communication

Personal information that is submitted to Console websites is protected both online and offline.

Console web pages that request certain information or allow transaction processing use the Hypertext Transport Protocol Security (HTTPS) protocol which allows data to be transmitted in an encrypted form known as Secure Sockets Layer® (SSL). Console encrypts, with 128-bit SSL, all such information. This information is neither used by Console for purposes other than completing your request nor shared with any outside party. Although the site itself does not store this information (via cookie or otherwise), the information is eventually transferred to a customer management database not directly linked to our web site systems.

You can confirm that a particular Console page is secure by checking that:
• the page address in the web browser’s tool bar or status bar begins with “https://”, or
• the padlock icon in the web browser’s tool bar or status bar is locked.

Console also uses Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to analyse trends, administer our web sites, track your navigation among Console web pages and gather broad information for aggregate use. For each visitor to our site, our Web server automatically attempts to collect general, non-personally identifiable information. Examples of this type of information include the visitor’s domain name, which pages are visited, and from which site the visitor came. Our web servers may also send cookies to your browser to track navigation history and ensure transaction pages, such as shopping cart interactions, work correctly. Cookies contain only coded information that cannot be used by third parties to access your confidential information.

Console is also committed to protecting your information offline. All of your personal and business information, not just sensitive information, is restricted to only those employees who need it to perform a specific task. For example, an administration officer may need access to your bank details to verify a direct debit authority or a customer service representative may need to identify you to inform you of an upgrade.

Accountability and legislative compliance

Console informs its employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy through its operating procedures, training programs and internal policies. Console will take appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce privacy responsibilities of its employees. If Console contracts with external service providers to provide service support, Console will require them to conform to its privacy policy.
The Console Australia Pty Limited Privacy Statement has been developed in accordance with relevant local and international privacy legislation.
