What’s involved in getting up and running?



Console’s implementation services are cost effective, flexible and scalable, with different packages and options designed to suit the size of your business. Whether you are a start up agency, or switching from another solution, we guarantee that you will be up and running quickly, with minimal disruption to your business.

A member of our Customer Care team will guide you through the implementation process, which begins with assisted installation, and booking you and your team into the relevant training courses. Our Consultants then talk to you about your business practices and the setup of your database and trust accounts, to ensure that Gateway is configured to best suit your needs.

After Gateway is installed and working in your business, we will continue to work with you into the future to ensure you have the training and support you need.


I am currently using a different software package. How do I change over?



We can migrate data from a number of other software programs. To find out more, please speak with us about the most effective way to transition from your current software package.


I don’t have any experience with the program or this type of software. Is this a problem?



This is not a problem at all. Console’s implementation packages guide you through the setup phase, and our ongoing support ensures you receive the very best assistance to get the most out of Gateway and grow your business.


What training options are available?



The key to success is not only having the right tools, but knowing how to use them. Because we understand that finding the time to train yourself and your team can sometimes be difficult, our training solutions are flexible and delivered by experienced trainers with practical knowledge of real estate.

Console’s comprehensive and flexible training solutions span traditional classroom training, online training, online videos, and onsite training so you can choose the one that suits you.


What support is available?

Console is proud to have a knowledgeable, talented and diverse team of people working to support our clients.

Following setup and training, the Console Service Centre is available for any queries you may have. Your subscription includes access to our experienced and friendly Service Centre Consultants who will deal with your questions and issues quickly and professionally, and are available on weekdays from 8:30am – 5:30pm.

You also have access to myConsole, our online client only resource centre. It is an interactive, user friendly, self service facility, and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The site gives you access to your account information, software updates and training information and bookings. MyConsole is also home to our library of online resources: tips and tricks, step-by-step instructions, video tutorials, frequently asked questions and much more.


Is there any support available after hours?



Our online client only resource centre – myConsole - is an interactive, user friendly, self service facility that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

As well as housing a wealth of information and resources about Gateway, including articles, videos and FAQs, myConsole is also the best place to lodge a support request, book training, and manage your account.


What does Gateway cost?



Gateway is a subscription based product that is scalable to suit the size and needs of your business. Your ongoing costs will depend on the size of your business, the number of users, and a number of other factors. We can assist you with ensuring you have the right solution.

When you make the decision to use Gateway in your offices, you will be guided through the implementation package which best suit your specific needs, taking into account your office size and level of experience.

Implementation is a one-off additional cost for new customers and offices, encompassing installation, training and consulting.


What’s included in the monthly subscription fee?



The monthly subscription fee includes access to Gateway, extensive ongoing support via phone, email and the web, and access to new features and updates as they are released.


Can I upload to portals such as realestate.com.au?



Gateway easily transfers property details directly from your database to real estate web portals, including:

  • Realestate.co.nz
  • Realestate.com.au
  • Realestateview.com.au
  • Rent.com.au
  • Trademe.co.nz
Gateway’s property section covers everything you need to capture on a sale or rental property including images, descriptions, auction date, listing expiry date, inspection times, breakdowns of outgoings, price ranges and much more. You can then use this property information to create brochures and listing reports, and upload to websites, saving on double data entry.


Does Gateway have integration with Outlook/ Word/ Excel?



Gateway synchronises with your Microsoft® Outlook inbox, contacts, tasks and appointments, and also integrates with Word and Excel.


Is it easy to use?



With intuitive navigation and features you can easily recognise, Gateway incorporates a wide range of features including trust accounting functionality, a CRM database, integration with Microsoft® Outlook, Word and Excel, and the marketing of rental and sale properties.

Is it compatible with Windows, including the new Windows 7?



The latest version of Gateway – known as Gateway Live – has been verified by Microsoft as being compatible with Windows 7, having met their requirements. This means that Gateway Live has been tested for compatibility and reliability on Windows 7, including tests on installation and the potential for crashes and reboots.

Console is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, and our products are developed for use on a Windows operating system.


How many properties can I manage in Gateway?


There is no limit to the number of properties you can manage in Gateway. Whether you have one staff member or one hundred, are in sales, property management or both, Gateway allows you to duplicate your success, time after time.


Does Gateway handle holiday bookings?



Gateway allows you to manage your holiday properties with ease, covering all of the tasks associated with holiday properties, including bookings, deposits, managing arrivals, departures and cleaning, and displays a graphical holiday bookings calendar.

The Booking Calendar view in Gateway makes it simple to create, move and change bookings. Choose from pre-defined seasons and view colour coded bookings for each property so you can see whether the booking is confirmed or a deposit is due without opening individual booking files.

Gateway Live integrates with the YesBookit holiday booking system, giving you access to additional powerful features and saving on double data entry.


Does Gateway cover commercial property management?



Gateway covers all of the tasks associated with commercial property management, including recurring invoices and statements and creating management reports. You can specify options for commercial tenants, allowing you to email statements and invoices to selected tenants.

There are a number of reports for commercial properties including a Tenancy Schedule showing the tenancy and contact details for each property, customised reports displaying key information on buildings and commercial tenants, and a Building Variance report that helps you track actual income and expenditure for selected buildings as compared to their respective budgets.

The Budget tool for buildings and commercial tenants displays all budget items for the current and previous financial year.
