Interview with Michelle Galletti

Why did you choose Console Gateway for your business?
In a fast growing property management business, I needed a program that was easy to use, simple, straight forward and efficient. Console Gateway is the perfect program for us. It’s so ‘user friendly’ that when hiring new staff who have not used the program, I am confident that they will adapt to the change comfortably and with ease.

Did you change to Console Gateway from another program? If so, how did you find the transition?
Yes and I have never looked back!

The transition was easy. The trainers at Console came out to the office, installed the program and even spent the time setting up all our defaults in the system. They gave us a thorough demonstration on how to use Console Gateway as well. We never felt rushed. Obviously changing from one software program can make anyone feel a little nervous but the help we received relieved any stress we had.

What issues were you dealing with before you switched to Console Gateway?
In the past I have used two different programs and there were quite a few issues with both of them. Poor staff support, stalling issues and just a general lack of ‘easy to use’ features. I really could not understand what I was paying for!

What were the key requirements and features you considered when choosing a software package for your business?
When starting a new property management business, I really wanted a system that could keep records on the growth of the company and where our leads were coming from. It’s so important for me to see how quickly my business is growing and what areas I might need to concentrate on.

The custom reports in Console Gateway are great and have been a great source for me to check and track our performance. Another important requirement is great customer support. We are always busy running around so being on hold to get customer support can sometimes be frustrating for us -the fact that we have the option to leave our contact details and keep our position in the queue is a great relief! Console calls us back quickly and is always so helpful.

Since implementing Console Gateway, what are the benefits that you’ve experienced in your day-to-day work activities?
My time management has improved significantly. I feel organised and if I need assistance with the program I’m confident to know that someone at Console is on the end of the line with all the answers!

What's your favourite feature of Console Gateway?
Outlook integration is a prerequisite for me. It’s helpful in having all my tasks, appointments and contacts synchronised between the Console Gateway database and outlook. It keeps me up to date and organised.

Gateway Today is also great! I love that I can turn on my computer first thing in the morning and all my ‘to do’s’, appointments, periodic inspections, lease renewals, rental increases etc are there reminding me of what I need to complete that day!

What would be your advice to someone looking at changing software packages to Console Gateway?
In my opinion and from experience it’s really an easy decision to make – make the change to Console Gateway! I’ve worked with three different programs throughout my real estate career and Console Gateway is by far the best.
